Oil & Gas Pumping Solutions

Oil and gas projects generate substantial water-handling requirements that have nothing to do with the product being extracted. Pipeline construction, well-pad preparation and facility works all involve moving water — into a line for testing, out of a trench, off a pad — usually a long way from anything resembling infrastructure.

What oil & gas pumping demands

Trench and right-of-way dewatering

Pipeline trenches fill with groundwater and rainfall, and the spoil beside them ensures the water carries solids. Work stops until the trench is clear, so dewatering capacity sits directly on the critical path. The B Series handles this in the volumes and solids ranges trench work produces.

Hydrostatic test water transfer

Filling and emptying a pipeline section for pressure testing is a large-volume, time-bound transfer against real head. Where the test water is clean, the K Series delivers to 145 m and 2,300 m³/hr; where it is not, the B Series handles the duty at lower head.

Well-pad and facility site water

Pad preparation, foundation works and civil construction generate the same dewatering requirements as any heavy civils project, in locations with less support. Solids handling and self-priming reliability matter more than they would on a serviced site.

Operating beyond infrastructure

Remote sites have no grid and limited service access. Diesel packages built on CAT, Perkins, Deutz, Cummins or Yanmar engines run independently, and wheeled or skid chassis allow a unit to move along the right of way with the work.

Which series suits oil & gas work

Selections below are based on the published specifications for each range.

B Series

Trench, pad and site dewatering where the water carries solids. Flows to 3,350 m³/hr, solids handling to 124 mm, self-priming to 8.5 m.

Specifications

K Series

Clean-water transfer at pressure, including hydrostatic test fill. Heads to 145 m on the K200 and flows to 2,300 m³/hr on the K300.

Specifications

Before you specify

  1. 1

The eBORA range is water-handling equipment. These pumps are specified for water duties on oil and gas sites — dewatering, test water and site water management — not for hydrocarbon service.

  2. 2

Where a duty falls within a classified hazardous area, confirm the certification requirement with us before specifying. Area classification governs equipment selection independently of the hydraulic duty.

  3. 3

For long right-of-way discharge runs, calculate friction loss across the full length. On flat terrain it frequently exceeds the static lift and determines the pump selection on its own.

Oil & Gas pumping questions

Can these pumps be used for hydrocarbon service?

No. The eBORA range is water-handling equipment, specified for water duties on oil and gas sites: trench and site dewatering, hydrostatic test water and general site water management.

What is suitable for hydrostatic pipeline testing?

Filling and emptying a test section is a large-volume transfer against real head. Where the test water is clean, the K Series delivers to 145 m and up to 2,300 m³/hr. Where it carries solids, the B Series handles the duty at lower head.

How are remote sites without power handled?

Diesel packages built on CAT, Perkins, Deutz, Cummins or Yanmar engines run independently of grid supply, and wheeled or skid chassis allow a unit to move along a right of way as the work advances.
