High-Pressure Clean Water

K Series Pumps

The K Series is eBORA's clean-water range for duties that combine substantial flow with high discharge pressure. Three models cover 850 to 2,300 m³/hr, with total heads to 145 m. These are not solids-handling pumps: the impeller geometry that delivers this head band is incompatible with passing debris, so the K Series is specified where the water is filtered, settled or naturally clean.

Maximum Total Head

  • Flows up to 2,300 m³/hr
  • Total heads up to 145m
  • Self-priming suction lift up to 8.5m
  • Clean water applications (no solids)

Where the K Series is used

High-pressure water transfer

Moving clean water over distance or elevation, where friction losses through long pipe runs put the duty point well above what a dewatering pump can reach. The K200 delivers 1,300 m³/hr at 145 m, which covers most single-stage transfer duties without resorting to a booster set.

Water supply and distribution

Bulk supply into elevated storage, reservoir filling and mains charging need sustained pressure rather than peak flow. Mechanical shaft sealing suits continuous running better than packed glands, which need routine adjustment and leak by design.

Irrigation mains and pressure boosting

Large-scale irrigation schemes and centre-pivot systems depend on maintained line pressure across the network. The K300 trades head for volume — 2,300 m³/hr at 85 m — which suits wide distribution at moderate lift, while the K150 and K200 handle higher-pressure zones.

Clean-water shaft and tunnel dewatering

Where groundwater ingress is filtered or settled before pumping, the K Series lifts it out in a single stage at pressures a dewatering pump cannot reach. Automatic self-priming to 8.5 m allows surface mounting rather than submerged installation.

Selecting a K Series model

  1. 1

Confirm the water is genuinely clean before specifying the K Series. None of the three models carries a solids-handling rating. If the water contains sand, silt or debris — even intermittently — the B Series is the correct range even where its lower head band means accepting a different duty point.

  2. 2

Head and flow move in opposite directions across the range. The K200 gives the most head at 145 m and 1,300 m³/hr; the K300 gives the most flow at 2,300 m³/hr but only 85 m. There is no model that maximises both, so the duty point decides.

  3. 3

Where the requirement exceeds 145 m of total head, the K Series has no model that reaches it. The L Series extends to 295 m and is the only range in the eBORA line-up above the K Series ceiling.

Where the K Series sits in the range

Across all three series eBORA covers flows to 3,350 m³/hr and total heads to 295 m. The K Series spans 3 models, reaching 2,300 m³/hr and 145 m of total head, for clean water duties with no solids handling. Every model self-primes to 8.5 m.

Reading the specifications

Total head
The total height the pump can raise water, combining static lift with the pressure lost to friction in the pipework. A duty point quoted only as a vertical distance understates the real requirement, sometimes substantially on long pipe runs.
Self-priming lift
How far above the water surface the pump can be mounted and still draw water without external assistance. All eBORA models self-prime to 8.5 m, so no vacuum pump or foot valve is needed to start or restart.
Solids handling
The largest spherical particle that can pass through the pump without blocking it. Rated in millimetres and set by impeller and casing geometry — it is a physical clearance, not a filter specification.
Capacity
Volume flow rate at the pump's rated duty point, in cubic metres per hour. Actual delivered flow falls as total head rises, so capacity and head figures should be read together rather than independently.

K Series questions

What is the maximum total head of a K Series pump?

The K200 reaches 145 m of total head at 1,300 m³/hr, with a 250 mm inlet and 200 mm outlet. It is the highest-head model in the K Series.

Can the K Series pump water containing solids?

No. None of the three K Series models carries a solids-handling rating; they are specified for clean water only. For water carrying solids, the B Series handles up to 124 mm.

Which K Series model gives the highest flow?

The K300 at 2,300 m³/hr, though at a lower total head of 85 m. If both high flow and high pressure are required, the K200 at 1,300 m³/hr and 145 m is the better balance.

Does the K Series self-prime?

Yes, automatically, to 8.5 m across all three models, with mechanical shaft sealing rather than packed glands.
